Fordington Meadows, Dorchester Dog Walk - 2 Miles

A 2 mile walk through some beautiful, peaceful countryside walking along the River Frome. Just minutes from the hustle and bustle of town. Flat but sometimes unsteady ground. Approx 200 metres walked next to the road.

Route

1.Park at the end of Lubbecke Way just after the new build houses. Enter the chalk track and cross over the bridge and turn right.

2.Follow the path and go through the first kissing gate into the meadow.

3.Walk straight across the meadow and through the gate.

Step 4

4.Continue along the path to the bridge. Be careful....it is quite unsteady ground.

5.Turn left over the bridge and go straight on.

Step 8

6.Go through the underpass and follow the path.

Step 10

7.Go through the gate.

Step 12

8.Through a second pedestrian gate and into the field with the river on your left.

Step 13

9.Any off lead dogs to be put back on as you go through the gate and onto the road for the short walk to Grey's bridge.

Step 14

10.Just after the traffic lights and before the bridge enter the path on your left through the kissing gate.

11.Follow the river path.

12.You have arrived back to the bridge you started on so go right over the bridge.
